2007 Joseph Carr “Josh” Cabernet Sauvignon Lake County (California) Cabernet Sauvignon grape
“Joe Carr named his second label “Josh Cellars” after a nickname his dad had. At $17 this wine is an absolute steal. This dark ruby colored wine opens with a cherry-like bouquet with a hint of truffle. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is balanced, very easy to drink and has no hard edges. The flavor profile is packed with very tasty ripe Maraschino cherries that are infused with vanilla. The finish is quite dry and its tannins sail on for quite some time. We felt this wine would be an ideal complement to a prime rib. Enjoy.” Kenswineguide.com VdV: Try this wine with lamb chops.
