2009 Turley Wine Cellars Zinfandel Juvenile (California)
The only bottled Zinfandel is the 2009 Juvenile, an outstanding effort made from the young vine lots. This pure Zinfandel offers abundant red and black, briery fruit, pepper and spice characteristics in its lush, soft, hedonistic personality. It is ideal for drinking in its first several years of life. Rated 89 The Wine Advocate Jammy and elegant, yet at the core there’s a dense and complex structure. Aromas of smoky black raspberry lead to rich, ripe plum, toasty licorice and cinnamon flavors that finish with supple tannins. Rated 91 Wine Spectator

2009 Turley Wine Cellars Zinfandel Old Vines (California)
The odd lots of old vine fruit that do not fit in with any of the single vineyard wines are combined to produce the 2009 Zinfandel Old Vines. Its dark plum/ruby hue is followed by sweet aromas of briery berry fruit, herbs, incense, underbrush and soil undertones. This delicious, medium to full-bodied effort should drink well for 4-5 years. Rated 88-91 The Wine Advocate

2009 Turley Wine Cellars Zinfandel Cederman Vineyard (Napa Valley)
A sensational offering, the 2009 Zinfandel Cedarman boasts a deep plum/purple color as well as notes of blueberries, raspberries, spring flowers, damp earth, pepper and licorice. It is a complex, full-throttle, deep, rich Zinfandel to enjoy over the next 6-8 years. Rated 92-94 The Wine Advocate

2005 Turley Wine Cellars Zinfandel Rattlesnake Ridge Howell Mountain (Napa Valley)
Howell Mountain vineyards are capable of producing stunning Zinfandels and Turley’s 2005 Zinfandel Rattlesnake Ridge cuvee is a strong effort in this lighter-weight vintage. It boasts a dark ruby/purple color along with scents of smoked herbs, black cherries, berries, spice, and pepper. Medium to full-bodied with abundant amounts of pure fruit and good richness, it is one of the more complete 2005 Zinfandels. Rated 88-91 The Wine Advocate

Saturated medium red. Complex, highly aromatic nose combines meat, Tellicherry pepper and cinnamon, along with a distinct rocky character. Then creamy and peppery on the palate, more savory than sweet. In fact, this rather intriguing, soil-driven wine is in a distinctly dry style. From rocky, poor soil at an altitude of 2,400 feet; the vines were planted in 1998. Rated 90 The International Wine Cellar

2005 Turley Wine Cellars Zinfandel Pesenti Vineyard (Paso Robles)
The impressive, powerful 2005 Zinfandel Pesenti Vineyard exhibits a dark ruby/purple color, plenty of minerality, loads of bright, savory, black cherry and black currant fruit, and notions of pepper and crushed rocks. This is one of the deepest, richest, most full-bodied 2005s in this portfolio. Rated 91-93 The Wine Advocate

Bright ruby-red. Crushed berries, flowers, blood orange, spices and mint on the nose. Juicy and precise, with moderate flesh but penetrating red berry flavors. In its firm but nicely integrated acidity, this reminded me of the 2004 version. Offers lovely focus and energy. Finishes with fine, dusty tannins. Rated 92 The International Wine Cellar

2004 Turley Wine Cellars Zinfandel Duarte Vineyard (Contra Costa)
An impressively endowed offering is the big, rich 2004 Zinfandel Duarte Vineyard. There are usually fewer than 500 cases of this effort, which generally reveals southern Rhone-like garrigue characteristics along with plenty of soil overtones, fresh black cherries, and a spicy, heady finish.Rated 91-92 The Wine Advocate
