Boutique Washington reds!!!

1. 2013 Ciel du Cheval Grenache Ded.Reckoning No. 14 Yakima Valley
This wine was made by Rhône-variety specialist James Mantone of Syncline. The aromas are locked up at present but suggest mineral, spice and red and blue fruit as it opens. The palate is full bodied, seamless and pure, showing depth and detail. Rated 91 Wine Enthusiast Magazine

2. 2014 Secret Squirrel Syrah Grenache Mouvedre Columbia Valley
"The value priced 2014 Rhone Blend comes from sites in the Red Mountain, Yakima Valley and Walla Walla AVAs. It’s a delicious blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Black cherries, blackberries, peppery herbs and earth all give way to a charming, supple, beautifully textured red that's going to be impossible to resist over the coming 2-3 years." Rated 90 The Wine Advocate

3. 2012 Darby The Flipside Grenache/Syrah/Mouverdre Columbia Valley
Our Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre blend that is polished and impeccably structured. Black pepper, licorice, and espresso notes linger toward lush tannins. This is one of my favorite blends to make and if you like GSM’s you will not be disappointed. Winery

4. 2011 Michael Florentino Monastrell Red Mountain
Using the Spanish name for Mourvèdre, this Woodinville winery also included 20% Counoise in this hearty red wine. It’s a rich red with aromas and flavors of ripe dark plum, dark chocolate and pomegranate. WinePressNW

5. 2013 Idilico Tempranillo Reserva Yakima Valley
This wine offers aromas of smoke, spice, pencil eraser and cherry. The palate is full flavored, with the tannin bringing some grip. Rated 89 WE

6. 2012 Woodinville Wine Cellars Malbec ded.reckoning No. 10 Columbia Valley
This bottle is quite unusual for a Washington Malbec with abundant notes of freshly squeezed Meyer lemon, plum and herbs. Still, it's well constructed with tart, plush plum flavors that keep you coming back to it. Rated 88 WE

7. 2016 Borne of Fire "The Burn" Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley
This is the first year made of this wine with wonderful blackberries, rose leaves and blueberries. Wildly floral. Stems. Full body and round and fine tannins. Juicy and intense. Shows an eccentric style. All large oak [Large Format Barrels]. A new nature and personality. Drink now or hold. Rated 96 James Suckling

8. 2015 Sol Stone Tempranillo Snipes Mountain - $24
Nose: Seductive aromas of dark fruit, grilled plum and tobacco notes.
Taste: This rich and robust blend of Tempranillo (94%) and Cabernet Franc (4%) is built with velvety smooth tannins that deliver steeped black fruit and red plum compote inlaid with powerful notes of iron, loam, smoke and sage that sustain through the long focused finish. Winery
